Hepatitis B can be passed from parent to baby at birth - and when that happens, the consequences can be deadly. It is unscientific and dangerous to intentionally ignore the success of U.S. vaccination programs or argue that the U.S. should not vaccinate babies for hepatitis B at birth.

The Utah Report shows exactly what the people commissioning it didn’t want to see, that gender affirming care works.

One more rant before I go walk the dogs. 🧵

READ THIS: “We found there’s this perfect one-to-one relationship. If a city increased its road capacity by 10% then driving in that city went up by 10%.” Still one of the best articles on why building bigger roads leads to more driving. Understanding #InducedDemand via @wired.com
What's Up With That: Building Bigger Roads Actually Makes Traffic Worse
The concept is called induced demand, which is economist-speak for when increasing the supply of something (like roads) makes people want that thing even more. Though some traffic engineers made note ...

Patients living w/ HIV already asking what will happen if they lose access to ARVs via ADAP. Anyone know how easy it will be to zero out funding for ADAP? Is it just a budget item that could be eliminated by HHS secretary or would it need congressional action?

What does it take to move 1000 people? Better infrastructure supporting mobility choices that don’t take up so much space (or produce so much emissions/pollution, cost so much public money, etc).

Great graphic via @SeattleSubway based on a City of Sydney graphic I spread around a lot years ago.

The Economist has published a deeply-researched story about car bloat -- and it's very, very damning.

"For every life that the heaviest 1% of SUVs and trucks save, there are more than a dozen lives lost in other vehicles."
