Several years ago a guy that worked for me was worried about his son, who lived in TX, being addicted to drugs, and wanted to get him into rehab. He was discussing with a friend, who was a deputy sheriff in TX, that offered to pick him up on possession and get him adjudicated to rehab. 1/2

The pattern is our conservative friends are appalled by this blatant murder, but can't concede. They'll stay silent for about a day until they can get their talking points from Fox, etc. They will go from feeling bad, to ok, to good about murder in about 24 hours.

I did not make it overseas until I met my wife in my 30s. She knows how to travel on a nickel. My oldest is now 25 and has literally circumnavigated the globe and travels all the time. 1/2
I’ve reached the stage of parenthood where my kids are doing much cooler shit than I ever dreamed of at their age and I don’t know how to react…jealousy or enthusiasm.

Sitting here in the Amex Lounge at DCA and realizing it’s basically a flat rate cafeteria plan for frequent travelers. You just do the math for how many times you think you’ll go each semester vs eating a la cart at Kwik Trip each meal.
