I want a feature that lets me follow someone without seeing any of their reposts. I know it "contradicts the premise of social networks" but the thing about that is, no it doesn't

This commercial for French's Mustard from 1987 is equal parts charming and also kinda unsettling, but what strikes me is the work that went into the absolutely delightful puppetry and practical effects for a *mustard commercial*!! Imagine that today??

WHEN THERE’S NO TREASURE BEHIND THE WATERFALL: Wow. Too stuck-up to put treasure there huh? Too much of a fucking ICONOCLAST for that? Piece of shit. FUCK you

Remembering when a friend asked me whether she should watch The Wire and without thinking I said "Yes, it's SO funny"

Tezuka & Ishinomori both died at 60. Mizuki (the creator of GeGeGe no Kitarō) died at 93. I think about this a lot.

The KOB promos on the new japan youtube are so funny, because OSKAR is all "we are a TEAM we're the only real tag team here no one else commits like us" and then Yuto just exclusively builds himself up as a singles guy. Which he should, obviously.

I'm greatful that Sparks inspired a bunch of musicians whose work I love, so that I may listen to those and never have to resort to listen to Sparks

Obviously they're not the same kind of bad, but I suppose it's considerate of wwe to run the AJ Lee return when I've already decided not to watch them for a while due to the Lesnar return

There are bigger reasons Daniel Clowes' Monica is fantastic, but it was so great to pick up a highly hyped and buzzed graphic novel that isn't comprised of a full ream of a4 paper with a spine.

the trick i keep forgetting a relearning: differentiate between "having ideas" writing and "making it fit into a structure" writing, and don't distract yourself with "structure" writing until you're out of "ideas" writing

The plot of Tezuka's Message to Adolph requires putting yourself in that 20th century mindset in which a fact getting revealed to the public would matter at all
