If your school zone infrastructure doesn't look like this, maybe it's time to start asking why not.

Fahrradfahren verlernt man nicht. Und in den Niederlanden gibt man den Menschen erst gar keine Gründe, damit aufzuhören

It really was! Every song a classic and Edwyn was on top form. Such a shame there'll be no more.

The setting of the Albert Hall made it even more special, though I was highly amused by the staff cleaning up spills on the floor, thinking back to being in the Osees mosh pit in the same space!

So yesterday, I was catching up on the wonderful @edwyncollins.bsky.social session on Riley & Coe (I’m a couple of weeks behind), only to see him do a blistering live show at the Albert Hall (real one), with none other than @marcrileydj.bsky.social and the great Steve Hanley to our right!

Water feature in Stretford’s new town centre. Do they do permeable paving that can cope with Manchester rain?

I’m generally pleased with the work done on Stretford’s new town centre.

But why can’t we have any cycle parking?

This week's post covers our ride across the dunes to Den Haag and Scheveningen.

I've previously described Den Haag as the most car-centric city I've been to in the Netherlands, with big roads and patchy cycling infra, but it's still far better than any city in the UK.

🤞 for better weather tomorrow, for Drum & Bass on the Bike, 2pm Castlefield Bowl.

If you're wondering what it's like (some people have found that promo photo a little off-putting), here's my post from when we went to the first one in 2021.

Not in work this morning, so a leisurely ride to the quays for breakfast. Lovely day out today, best make the most of it before the weekend’s storm.

I wonder how Manchester is getting on, with its lack of ULEZ 🤔

For the first time ever, London has met legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.

When I became Mayor, we were told it would take 193 years. We did it 184 years earlier than expected.

Cleaner air means a healthier city and big savings for the NHS.

Me too! I've been working near Albert Square for the past 5 years and it's be closed most of the time I've been there

Great to see lots of cycle parking going in as part of the Albert Square redevelopment. Decent quality racks too.

Though I wonder how many of these will still be accessible when the Christmas Markets go up.
