Still reading Livio & Szostak #book, “Is Earth Exceptional?” and I feel a little uncomfortable with the idea of “warm, little ponds” exposed to cycles of evaporation/dilution. I mean, stromatolites are 3.5 Ga old, while continents appeared much later. Where on land were those “ponds” located?

My first impression was not so enthusiastic. I had other expectations. I was wrong. The more I read this novel, the more I love it for all the messages it conveys, and for the still important discourse about science and religions, among other important things. #book

I warmy recommend anyone to get used to a low calorie diet soon. Climate change will hit agriculture like a truck, food will become less accessible. And less abundant.

Back to #history - after a brief interval among isotopic signatures, sediments and Oxygen levels through Earth’s history! This one has been acclaimed as a great #book and I am curious to see if the author really managed to present a complete narrative.

Today I visited the Egyptian Museum in Turin. 4th time. It’s an experience I reccommend to anyone. Either you are interested in Ancient Egypt or not, this museum will capture your attention, providing an exciting tour through mummies, artifacts of all types and captivating multimedial displays.
