You can't order fish in Northern India without some risk of an epic diarrhea lol

Meanwhile all your vendors in the Shenzhen-Guangdong cluster can ship everything to each other within one day

US could have picked high-paying industries they can build clusters quickly for targeted tariffs, but NOPE!

Because even if Chinese labor costs go up, the efficiency and integration in Shenzhen for making some products are still cheaper

You have producing->packaging-> shipping all in one place and businesses like convenience

You can try to build that back in the US, but not by blowing up everything.

Also waiting to see a blog post "On the Historical Unity of Americans and Canadians" from Trump

The more stock goes down the crazier he will be.

I hope fallout with orange roll follow "Will no one rid me of this turbulent bro"

Same could be said about polish F-16s now

Giving paeans to freedom is easy when there's no risk to yourself

This is where we have failed, both in Ukraine and at home. We must stop Russia while putting ourselves at 0 risk. We must criticize trump but only when it doesn't hurt my career

We need to change to help Ukraine and save ourselves

The sk who didn't lift a finger to help Ukraine even after nk commandos are in Europe?

Nah, wouldn't trust them to maintain supply during war time.

People who thinks Ukrainians are naive about America should ask how they feel about Obama.

If anything it's the Western Europeans who thought the abandonment of allies won't apply to them

Thanks for the update!

On a spectrum I would say Blackbird are the most pessimistic, Frontline still project a negative trend but more nuanced, similar to Mike kofman

Your analysis is a more optimistic than most, you don't think the loss ratio is actually 1:2 or RU has more sustainable manpower?

Now that Krasnov has paused aid to Ukraine. It's time to get real.

Leaders on the continent need to relearn the lesson of the cold war that any proposal of ceasefire or guarantee must always be backed with hard power.

The risk-free days are over

A "small" bright side, the time Putin needs to reconstitute himself is also the time for Europeans to spin up their capability as well. As long as this timeline is shorter than the US completely disengaging or Ukraine joining the EU, it will be enough.
March 3, 2025 at 9:06 AM
If India can sell shells to the Czech shell initiative and the Pakistanis can sell to the UK for UA. Don't see why the US won't sell critical items (gmlrs, patriots etc) to the EU

This mineral thing is to buy the time for EU to spin up and secure what they can't provide that Biden has approved

How will the debt limit be fixed with de linke and afd likely to link up and block this?

Has Heidi Reichinnek ever expressed anything positive towards Ukraine or signaled they will back military spending to help UA?

Thanks!

These are good ones and I agree. But there are bad examples as well though, like in the Rust belt, Former East Germany (Which a lot of Ukrainians I talk to compares it to Donbas lol). The rise of pro-ru voices in parts of the EU can be linked to that as well

You need to be careful about granting free movement without a tight security guarantee as part of the peace process. Ukrainians who are afraid of the next war will leave and create a population crisis within Ukraine

It will not only make Ukraine weaker, but depop usually creates a bitter population
February 25, 2025 at 10:17 AM
I guess the meeting in Riyadh was bad, he now knows he can't end it quickly so decided to press the "Weaker side" with a maximalist demand in the hopes that Ukraine will capitulate and gets his quick win

I know not every Ukrainians like Zelenskyy, but luckily he is mentally stronger than Trump

A position as weak as Biden's but more inept in terms of leverage.

They'd never get more than 10% of their gas from Soviet Union. By 2021 it was 50% from USSR/legal successor state. Not one of our 6 subsequent wars changed the "change thru trade" mantra.

Trade did cause a change. You are becoming more like us.
