Sad to hear that Joanna Macy died last week. I was so lucky to meet her in 1996 during orientation week at seminary and take one of my first classes with her. What a spiritual giant in so many ways. Grateful to what she taught me and her gifts to the world. Peace. - youtu.be/VEXAbX1f3Nc?...

How low we have sunk. The Social Security Administration sent out an email to many seniors that lied about the impact of the deadly, disastrous bill signed on Saturday. This article does a great job telling the truth about it. thefinancebuff.com/social-secur...
Social Security Is Still Taxed Under the New 2025 Trump Tax Law

I'm spending this year immersed in baseball to 'escape' Trumpism. Working for the SF Giants, interviewing people for a book on baseball and learning about Joy as an act of resistance. aestheticsofjoy.com/joy-is-an-ac...
Joy is an Act of Resistance: How Celebration Sustains Activism

I was one of these young men who lost more than I could afford. I've been clean for more than 45 years. This is already a health/financial crisis for millions of gamblers, their families and the places they work and live. I was lucky and got help before killing myself. If you are suffering get help!

Can report a strong turnout at our local No Kings rally. Lots of American flag waving and supportive horn honking. Many homemade signs, some indignant, some witty. One that seemed particularly McLean appropriate: “If only Kamala had won, we’d all be at brunch.”
