My dad went into hospice at the hospital last night. My sister & I slept at my parents' house & my mom stayed with him. After 2 weeks of 14 hour days at the hospital, all I wanted was a couple extra hours of sleep. Those couple hours cost me being there when he died this morning

My dad got moved to hospice care today. His feeding tube was removed and the antibiotics for the staph aureus pneumonia have been stopped. We told the doctors it was ok to stop. Everything is on fire and we have to stand by until it burns out on its own.
