Vet check (if you haven’t already) to rule out physical cause, then try comforting pheromones (eg. Feliway calming) as spray or diffuser. He might feel vulnerable without his pal so scent-soakers (things that smell of him & you) dotted around his environment might help reassure him. Cuddles to him.

Very glad you’re home but so sorry to hear about the neuritis. Hoping for very swift appointments with genius physios for you.
