Really hard to look at this and all the other examples of bravery and kindness from ordinary people in this moment not think also of the tremendous cowardice exhibited over the past year by some of the richest, most well-protected people in business, media and politics
Let us all have the courage displayed by the residents of Minneapolis.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

Happy Friday, all.

I spent the last 15 mins writing a very personal blog post.

It's ten years since I had a stroke.

Glad to be here, still.

Peace out.

I really think this is a crucial policy that should have been in place years ago. I went to my GP *6 times* before they sent me to the hospital for investigation of inflammatory polyarthritis.

so, to understand this story there are a few things you need to know

- my cat, Gus, believes he is a trained support animal
- he is not (he has relatives who are, but he is not)
- he believes he is a seizure-detecting dog
- he is not a dog
- I do not get seizures

The one thing I wish people would learn about people in end-stage kidney failure is about not repeatedly offering drinks!

We have to be on a strict fluid restriction. It's really annoying when someone offers you a drink, you say no, and then: "Aww, GO ON!"

Please stop tempting me. I'm thirsty!

Genius. Must watch.
US climate scientists need all the help they can get. Including from foul-mouthed comedians! 🤡😱😱

Watch Emmy Award-Winning David Cross team up with Prof Michael Oppenheimer in the US launch of the hit series "Climate Science Translated".

Due to the layoffs I am afraid that we have had to take over the running of the US National Parks.

We are updating the park regulations but for now the most important thing people can do before visiting a national park is to marinade themselves for 12 hours in olive oil, lime juice & garlic.
