BREAKING: One of the most important and prominent reporters on the ground in Gaza has been Anas Al Sharif.

He - and several other Al Jazeera journalists - have just been assassinated by Israelis forces whilst in their press tent in central Gaza.

Speechless.

Barely an hour ago, Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif warned us all:

“If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.”

Israel just killed him.

Japan makes more money from our offshore gas than we do 🤯🫠

We’re yet to get a cent of Petroleum Resource Rent Tax from offshore LNG exports 😤

Why are the major parties happy to give our gas away for free?!

Imagine for a moment a shadow cabinet with Angus Taylor, Jacinta Price, Tim Wilson and Sussan Ley.

What a cocktail of idiocy, ignorance, self importance and social terrorism.

Thank fuck the LNP is irrelevant for the foreseeable future.

The structural integrity of Australian elections is why Australians are among the 6.6% of the world that live in a “full democracy”

The gerrymandering, electoral college system, hopelessly politicised electoral commissions & putting “states rights” ahead of “democratic rights” is why the US is not
I am a duel American/Australian citizen. I am always impressed with the electoral process in Australia - it truely delivers free and fair elections. If America embraced mandatory voting and an independent electoral commission, you would never have political chaos that it has now.

Liberal HQ realised that some Chinese Australian voters were still considering supporting the party, so Jane Hume was sent out to call them all spies and that fixed the problem.

A beautiful explanation from Tagalaka and Gumatj man Conor Bowdenn of what Welcome to Country actually is.

Watch and share widely (and for more follow Conor on Insta at @conorbowdenn).
Do those who scorn Welcome to Country actually understand what it is?

The form the politicians' derision takes shows they are either ignorant or lying. And neither is a qualification for government.

A man and a woman were debating whether it’s more painful to give birth or to be kicked in the balls.

Finally the man said, “After a couple of years many women say 'Honey, do you want to have another child?' but I never heard a man say
“I fancy getting kicked in the balls again’.”

The Defence Minister was Linda Reynolds

The Home Affairs Minister was - checks notes - one Peter Dutton ...
