Exxon & Chevron must be so relieved to not have to worry about all the trouble and expense that the East India Company used to have maintaining their own military.

Having taxpayer funded “Presidents” take care of it all for them, even doing the PR bit, makes their margins so much better.

People who’ve opposed every Labor policy since they were old enough to talk don’t get to tell Labor governments how to govern.

I shouldn’t really need to say that but apparently the bosses pamphlet needed it said.

Australia’s gun laws are why there weren’t hundreds of victims at the Bondi shooting

Australia’s gun laws are why this horror is so rare here

Australia’s gun laws are why our public schools don’t know what an “active shooter drill” is let alone how to do one

It’s the only good thing Howard did

Genuinely have zero chill for Bibi and Baby JD weighing into what Australia should or shouldn’t do to keep our people safe

Those two have a daily blood bath between school shootings, terror attacks, base attacks, settler “skirmishes” & violence against their own citizens

Keep your hate out of Oz

Instead of responding only with thoughts and prayers, Australia will respond with laws and regulations. Because, unlike the United States, it values the lives of its citizens over any sick adulation of firearms.

The 1996 Port Arthur massacre led to immediate, sweeping, bipartisan gun law reforms.

The Bondi shooting is horrendous.

This anti-Semitic attack is unacceptable.

All Australians, of any faith, of any background, should be able to enjoy a public park without fear.

We must reject the disgusting attempts, both from here & overseas, to divide Australians.

If you need to say something, you could express sympathy and sadness. Your political take is not helpful.

At this stage no one has actually shown that Anika Wells has done anything wrong but the savagery of the media pile on is enough for some loons to justify horrendous, and potentially dangerous, attacks on one of our democratically elected representatives.

Totally disgraceful.

Trump has learnt that he has the power of an Imperial Presidency

He uses it to remake Rush Hour films, build a ballroom & to squeeze a few hundred million into his family trust (which given his age he won’t ever use)

Meanwhile others use him to oppress women, migrants, workers & kids

What a deal
Even a Hollywood movie would be a cheap bribe in exchange for favorable treatment in a merger. ICYMI @crampell.bsky.social on the Rush Hour remake saga: lnk.thebulwark.com/49UjIYN

I think it’s weird that we begrudge our elected representatives their salary, their travel, their staff & pensions, all of which is BELOW “market level”, when we should be making them regulate multi-million $ executive “REM”, private jets, bonuses paid out while sacking workers & marble CEO offices!

I’m over delusional “free market” Americans claiming “capitalism is the only political ideology that doesn’t kill people!”

Comrade, your capitalism is killing 45,000 citizens every year just to allow corporations to profit from medical treatments

Who knows how many die for profit in other areas?

Having dealt with Americans on planes before I cannot see how this is a remotely good idea
The last time Southwest Airlines changed its boarding process, it launched an online boarding school to teach passengers the basics. This time, travelers might need a graduate-level course.
Here’s a Sneak Peek Into Southwest’s New Boarding Plan
The airline is ditching open seating, and fliers are going to have to get used to the boarding-group grind.
