The US shouldn't be the centre of the world, and international awards shouldn't be determined by American politics or opinions about it. Also: peace prizes should go to people who work for actual peace.

Maduro is no Chavez and shouldn't be defended. But this Venezuelan so called leader spent 2024 basically begging that US to invade. And that may have happened had Biden not been decrepit and senile. Nothing to do with peace.

Throwback to one of my favorite landmarks to see when visiting Kuala Lumpur in 2023: the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, with a five-tiered, ornate gopuram (monumental entrance tower) in South Indian style. Dating back to 1873, it became an important place for early Indian immigrants in Kuala Lumpur.
