As an older trans person, it feels like I am less relevant or even visible whenever the trans community is celebrated by cis media aiming at allyship. Yet paradoxically, older late transitioning trans women like me are highlighted by transphobes who make examples of us to deride the trans community.

Maitlis's evident pride that she was instrumental in stripping an entire generation of UK trans youth of gender-affirming medical care is a thorough obscenity. Starving trans kids of clinics and puberty blockers has already lead to several tragically taking their own lives and this will continue.

Would have liked Glamour UK to have included at least one or two trans women over age 40. Then again, like so much else of the beauty industry they rarely include cis women over 40 either. If J K Rowling were a real feminist that would have been the issue; not their inclusion of some trans women.
Glamour UK proved how to Protect the Dolls by clapping back against JK Rowling complaining about its latest cover, which features a group of trans women.

Vexatious and vindictive legal claims mounted by transphobes should never ever be allowed. Also, being granted permission to reveal the identities of their targets publicly is nothing short of a green light to transphobic abuse, harassment, defamation and potentially even physical violence.

Feel depressed at how easily firms like Virgin Active and M&S are doing the bidding of a handful of extremist transphobic fascists. It feels like the rapid resurgence of the far-right is propelling this too. The UK and USA in particular feel on the verge of collapse into fascism.

I can see waves of GCs volunteering to be 'toilet police' if ever such a force was set up in the UK in the wake of a Bathroom Bill. They are already approaching any institutions or businesses they suspect of allowing trans people to use the right toilet and threatening them with the SC ruling. 🙄

The EHRC threatening to strip trans people's human rights away as swiftly as possible in the UK is taking its toll. I've just woken up from a dream where I ended up being thrown in prison and tortured for challenging prominent GCs online. I suspect many other trans folk are having nightmares too.

For one who coldly inflicts such devastation upon others, Streeting's absurdly thin-skinned about criticism. When he posted a reminder on his FB last Xmas about his constituency's bin collections and I told him to do the trans community a favour when they come round and climb in one, he blocked me.
When he says criminal damage does he mean the coffins left outside his office every day representing the trans kids his science denial policies have killed? Or are there other groups that he's harmed too?

Started a new job yesterday. On my first day in the office I admit, as a trans woman, I paused on whether I should use the women's toilets or the disabled ones. Technically, I fall into both categories but I felt I needed to be brave and start as I mean to go on by using the women's toilets.
