I think nothing really captures how fucked this year has been than the fact that there are so few photos of Luna on my phone from this year. They’re ALL from last year, which just shows how little I have been properly home or having any time for myself (and my Luna time).

I am NEARLY DONE with my wife’s cable knit cardigan and it has been a HUGE effort but honestly I know she will be warm and cozy with it and, yes, it has taken MONTHS but finishing it will be so nice.

The most accurate way I can express what life has been like this year is I came downstairs on Halloween morning to my mom curled up on the pull out couch with my cat beside her and when I said “Happy Halloween!” before making her food and cleaning the house she went wide eyed and said “ALREADY!?!!?”

Had another drive to get mater to doctors and FINALLY reworked the opening for HSI that has had me stuck for over a month while dealing with rush hour traffic on 495. Who knew Massachusetts traffic would actually be a good thing?

Honestly as much as I enjoy the bounty of summer harvests I am so glad the fall weather is here to cradle us in her sweater season embrace.
It also means working in the garden doesn’t set off an ME/CFS flare 🤪

Finally did some spinning last night to prep for what I hope is the last skein of my 3ply for a guernsey sweater for next year. I’ve been wanting to make a cabled sweater from my homespun Shetland since I got the fiber.
