We woke up to the news that the person of interest in the Brown shooting is in custody, with the juxtaposition of a very serene inch of snow that had fallen overnight. What a world we live in.

Seeing multiple posts about Brown students who also survived the Parkland/Marjorie Stoneman Douglas shooting is heartbreaking.
No student should endure multiple shootings in their life before they even leave formal education; we’ve obviously failed them by allowing this to continue without action.

I hope federally funded scientists are preparing for large scale, bad faith attacks by Musk and his troll army.
It’s pretty clear the DOGE operation is going to take snippets of grant proposals and papers, present them out of context, and direct weaponized harassment of individual people.
