In his 2021 book “Value(s),” Mark Carney argued for kinder, gentler global capitalism—best achieved through minor technocratic tinkering. As Canada’s new prime minister, he has quickly put his misguided view of governance to work.
Pity the Technocrat | Luke Savage
Canada’s Mark Carney wants to rejuvenate technocratic centrism. How many times do we have to say that’s a stupid idea?

There’s something so hollow and quietly tragic about a book no one wrote, or a painting no one made. Trying to feel something in it is like searching for water in a desert where no one has ever lived—just echoes without voices.

Nothing but a lonely emptiness.
"Personality, knowledge, and emotion are the three things that need to exist [in art] — and I'm sorry, they don't come from a fucking app." Del Toro sums it up 🫡

A lot of FOSS advocates have been preaching this for decades. Even Android app developers have gotten burned by this practice.

Don't use one service for everything. Use something other than gmail, store your files on *your local device*.
