I’d like to think I could get 3-5. Would need to see how well blocked those guys are on video.

28. David Lowery - The Palace Guards

Outstanding from start to finish. Try Marigold or Ah You Left Me. One of my favorite artists, bar none.

I’m pleased with my largely appropriate language. I have an old rule that swearing is okay if to make something funnier but not to make something angrier.

29. Lloyd Cole & the Commotions - 1984-1989

I’m cheating here because it’s his ‘best of’ from this five year period, but it’s how I got into him and why I’d recommend him to you. Great songwriter.

30. Supertramp - Breakfast In America

These guys were so talented and they put it all together on this classic album from the last ‘70s

31. Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run

Without this one, everything before and since would have been niche. It’s a pretty incredible masterpiece, with the title track, Thunder Road, Backstreets, and Jungleland all the most epic songs of most other people’s careers.

32. Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians - Queen Elvis

This guy is terrific. Clever, interesting, multi-talented. And this is my favorite album from him.

33. Bright Eyes - I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning

Terrific album as usual from these guys. ‘First Day of My Life’ is one of my favorite tunes of any genre by any band. Gorgeous.
