Love the novels, but... that name was A Choice. Very early in the first book he explains for all the non-Norse readers in the audience that it's actually pronounced (approximately) "Hoo-leh"; it feels like the whole(!) series is just Jo Nesbo saying "get your minds out of the gutter, Americans"

Came here to say just this. I can't recommend the hub I have myself - it's several years old, and not up to OP's specs - but Anker's shit is almost always well-designed and durable.

When Google got into all sorts of trouble for scanning libraries' worth of books back in the aughts, they did it with purpose-built non-destructive scanners that opened the books to 90° over a camera and then digitally deskewed the images. We have the technology.
