Years ago I found out that Onslaught's "no one is safe!" voice line is a big meme in Japan because to a Japanese-speaking ear it sounds sort of like うどんは日清 ("for udon, it's gotta be Nisshin!"), and I've never been able to hear it the same way since.

As I get older I actively squash most "the old days were better" feelings like they're intrusive thoughts, but the old internet was an objectively better place, full of actual people making things just for the joy of creation. I'm understanding now why older generations don't stfu about the 1960s.
