I've started reading Sanda and I'm not sure if I've ever loved a fictional character the way I love Shiori Fuyumura. She's perfect.

If I were to share a second, it would be the follow-up later on, which serves as a companion to the page above- this time it's Kim sharing a part of herself with Ling. I liked illustrating how each of them shows their vulnerability, while still reaching the same level of intimacy.

There would definitely be people defending Commissioner Harthrow, despite being a canonical fascist with a police force that's explicitly described as existing to keep unions from forming.

Like with most popular cyberpunk, mainstream Dark Science discourse would probably revolve around people attempting to call it "apolitical," despite the overt Marxist and anti-imperial themes.

Also Renee O'Connor deserves a gay medal of honor, because from Day One she was like "Gabrielle is a hopeless lesbian who wants to fuck Xena" and just willed it into existence.

Heck, halfway through the series they introduce a category of episode that's just "Lady villain falls in love with Gabby and tries to steal her from Xena." Also they raise multiple kids (and Joxer) together.

Human artists, use only one piece to convince people to follow you.

1000% true. It's why it's so important for people to actually learn theory and the material way these forms of oppression intersect. I actually just finished Disability and Empire and this has once again been at the forefront of my mind.

"I don't care about his feelings anymore."

I've been thinking about it, and this is definitely my favorite piece of 2025 art (taken from Dark Science #174). The lighting, the gentleness of the pose, my trademark balance of violence and sapphic energy, it's all there

The original Macross (1982). By the end it's taken you to so many places you'd never expect, from heartbreak to grief to bittersweet victories to life in unexpected places- and all of it ties together so perfectly in that last episide.

One more local thing I'll plug: this coming Saturday PSL Portland is doing a socialism event at our Liberation Center that's open to everyone! I'll be there and I'll probably be drawing things, we'll have a grand old time

T. Rex is legit one of the most fascinating dinosaur species, from the apparent social intelligence to the evidence that juveniles just took over the mid-sized predator niches in many regions, to all the unique little adaptations tyrannosaurs they have, like a crazy good sense of smell.

Turnout in Portland was MASSIVE, this pic doesn't do it justice!

Correction: 3:30pm! See you there!

This is nationwide, but for Portlanders: we'll be demonstrating in front of Powell's downtown at 4pm TODAY. Be there if you can.

What's your favorite Dinosaur and why?

Mine's Deinonychus, for similar reasons to Kim, here. I'm also just a big fan of Maniraptorans and how they seemed to fill so many ecological roles.
