Today, we’re launching a major report on dietary and lifestyle patterns and their role in cancer prevention.

New research we funded has shown that greater food variety could cut the risk of gastrointestinal cancer.

People with the most diverse diets had a 23% lower risk than those with the least variety. Risk decreased by 6% for every 10 extra food species per year added 👇

We welcome this CMA report. It "targets the insidious marketing practices of breast milk substitutes. Its recommendations can help families access safe and appropriate breast milk substitutes, while not undermining breastfeeding and its health benefits."

As part of #OneCancerVoice, today we’re calling on the UK government to fully fund the National Cancer Plan and make research a priority.
Around 2.2m people will be diagnosed with cancer in the UK in the next 5 years, so the government must make this a reality to improve the lives of cancer patients

🌍 On #UHCDay, we believe that prevention and health promotion must be prioritised especially for #NCDs like cancer.

✅ Prioritize prevention

✅ Invest in care from prevention to palliative support

✅ Ensure equitable, affordable food systems

Health is a right, not a privilege. #HealthForAll
