New research we funded has shown that greater food variety could cut the risk of gastrointestinal cancer.

People with the most diverse diets had a 23% lower risk than those with the least variety. Risk decreased by 6% for every 10 extra food species per year added 👇

As part of #OneCancerVoice, today we’re calling on the UK government to fully fund the National Cancer Plan and make research a priority.
Around 2.2m people will be diagnosed with cancer in the UK in the next 5 years, so the government must make this a reality to improve the lives of cancer patients
