Woke up to a fully charged battery, but higher number than expected (it’s advertised to 344). I know I won’t get that range as I’m about to do a motorway trip. But still, nice! #ev #id3

Becky Burke of Book Island (a picture book publisher in the UK founded by my fellow Tokarczuk translator Greet Pauwelijn) was "detained" by ICE at the Canadian border on 2/28. Her father asked that her story be shared in case someone can help her. He writes:

It is hard for public institutions to change gear and communication policies. But consider this: UK and German public institutions that post information on twitter but not on bluesky are providing free benefits and competitive advantages to a platform that aims to put the far right in power.

When blocking someone who follows you, they appear to still count as a follower (or is it only my profile showing that count to me?)

I’ve blocked all that have followed me so far as THIS is my first posting, I just assume them all to be bots.
