A sorry record. This is one reason I don’t care for the Nobel prizes. Three others being:

1) promotes a “great man” view of scientific progress, whereas science is best understood and celebrated as a collective, community activity.

Unfortunately I can’t. I couldn’t donate anymore when I lived in Japan (because having lived in Europe, they were afraid I had mad cow disease), and now back in Germany I can’t because I lived in Japan.
I know bone marrow is an option, but that’s a whole procedure that scares me considerably.

The UB-110 sunk after attacking a merchant shipping convoy near Hartlepool in July 1918. It was then salvaged and transferred to Swan Hunter Wigham Richardson Ltd. Dry Docks (Wallsend), with an order to restore her to fighting state. The order cancelled following Armistice and she was scrapped thereafter.

Does it work well though? I can imagine non-cubic crystals having different abrasion resistance depending on on the direction (graphite being the easiest example), I can’t imagine them becoming spherical.
