The elite are not going to send their kids to be sat in front of the plagiarism BS machine. They will insist on a real education provided by real humans to build real capability while engaging in the actual business of any elite university: networking with other elite kids.

Most seem to be as foolishly worshipful of their dubious numbers as Robert MacNamara, who stands supreme in my memory as the exemplar of the fallacy of trusting a spreadsheet over observable reality.

The ‘progress’ we’ve had wasn’t from our elected rulers collaborating to improve our condition, it was from those rulers being scared shitless of what we’d do en mass if they didn’t make some concessions.

Most of US history is the government screwing over most of the population to give a small group of men whatever they wanted. And I’m not sure today is any different. It’s quite plausible that the modern oligarchs figure they’ll bribe themselves a share of what is looted from America’s corpse.

I’m way to old and too queer and too neurodivergent to give a flying €£#% what normie society finds too childish an entertainment for an adult to enjoy. If you enjoy it and it isn’t hurting anyone, go ahead and enjoy it, I say. Learn to have joy again.
