We just announced our Spring classes & events, and I'd be very thankful if you shared these with the writers in your life. All our online classes are recorded and those recordings are made available through the entire Spring. We also offer memberships that provide a bevvy of benefits.

That being said, if you are a writer, we have something for you. Classes designed to give you the tools you need to empower yourself in this rapidly shifting publishing landscape, resources to guide you along if you find yourself at a lack of funding too.

After a hard year, seeing drastic cuts to funding and our base reacting to having less disposable income, we're in a tough position. A make-or-break year.

Nevertheless, I'm dedicated to pulling out all the stops and ensuring this org continues for decades to come.

And yes, we did not plan the name! Happy bit of synchronicity having the restaurant named Deep in the Heart, and that being the primary problem we solved, haha.

This game was HILARIOUS! Sooo much fun for one shots, and my players were immediately excited by the idea of playing it again during one of our off sessions (perhaps having a rotating Chef role?). Kudos @molomoot.bsky.social! Wonderful work.

There's an emotional catharsis, and this led to renewed energy and excitement going into relaunch.

It was a successful one as well!

Fast forwarding, more problems and chaos arise, and we get deeper into what is the true problem at Deep in the Heart, this mixed up love triangle between the three characters. It comes to light that the reason the owner broke up the marriage was because HE WAS IN LOVE WITH HIS BEST FRIEND!!!

Chef gives the owner a pep talk to go help his sister regain control of the dining room, and miraculously a guitar serenade does help.

The dining room isn't fairing well either, as guests have heard of Chef's appearance here and have been flooding in. The server is getting into fights with the customers, resulting in name calling and overall chaos.

In the walk in, Chef is confronted by a Goblin and nopes the fuck out.

Chef sneaks off to look in the walk in, the two ex-friends finally have their confrontation, the cook knows the owner is the reason why his marriage failed.

Tensions are rising high in the kitchen, the owner is scared of his ex-best friend, who seems more interested in leveraging that over cooking for guests.

After a little 'who's on first' bit the two of them swap identities leaving Chef more than frustrated as he digs deeper into their relationship.

The manager (and head server) is camera shy and can't talk to Chef, leaving him to deal with the only other diners there, several suspicious businessmen who dress and speak like minions.

After narrowly avoiding poisoning due to food based allergies, Chef gets to work in the kitchen.

Problems are abound. The restaurant has two head chefs, one is the owner, and the other is his (ex?) best friend who is also divorced from the owner's sister and restaurant manager. They're overspending on ingredients and overcooking everything.

Outside scenic Atlantic City, Chef arrives at a new restaurant in trouble: Deep in the Heart, a Southern fine dining buffet.
