Was telling my mom about $TRUMP today (though I still struggle to understand & explain cryptocurrency!) and we did the math that if we made $500K/year it would take us 10,000 years to earn $5 billion which is… a long time.

I do not care how many pushups the Secretary of Defense can do, I prefer that they understand & believe in the Constitution, and have studied history, and are invested in minimizing the risks of genocide and nuclear war, and it’s cool with me if pushups don’t come with that.

In eighth grade I chose “burning flag in protest should be legal” as an oration topic, and it’s one of the earliest moments I recall recognizing my “left leaning” politics.

In retrospect, possible I owed my strong opinion to “The American President” bc we had it on VHS and I really enjoyed it.
