I don't know how long pharmacy worked on it before I had to get involved, but 30 minutes of doc time on phone tree / talking to them / hold for them to grant an override.

Issue: patient called pharmacy for a refill for bupe, and older avail refill (for 2.5 films/day instead of new rx of 3 films/day) was mistakenly dispensed

When we tried to resolve by sending correct script at time they would run out taking 3 films/day, "exceeds limits"

But being at risk of imminent death or disability because the supply is unpredictable or poisoned is NOT the same thing. And it doesn’t need to happen.

Also it’s actually only a small majority of Americans who drink alcohol regularly. You shouldn’t have feelings if someone declines, and if you have a reaction of thinking “that’s really weird/odd” to should examine that! Many adults don’t drink for many reasons.

What?!? Ha clearly you did not have a traumatizing experience with them in childhood like I did. My heart still beats in anxiety if I think they are coming near me 😂

🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know - I suspect weird ind spot?
My position is - maybe it’s the naloxone causing sx, maybe it’s different sweetener (mannitol or Ace-K?), maybe flavor, but monoproduct is the affordable “different” option most people have had access to so if it works whhyyyy not
They don’t like that

It’s just that MA is generally … reasonable in other ways? Like the same arguments about diversion (which is not the job of insurer but….!) can be made about 32mg/day bupe and they ALWAYS approve that? They can do coercive control & make me trial 2 weeks of antiemetic & then…. Approve PAs 😭
