Today we are at para.chi Paris where we see (mostly local) papers to be presented at ACM CHI in Japan. It's really nice to connect locally before the big conference (especially because I'm not going).

I spent 2h on my last Friday evening with these great people. And nobody on social media has found the easter egg yet.
Hello from our 2025 editorial board meeting. Here are some of the people who make CG&A happen. Thank you to this wonderful team of volunteers and IEEE CS staff for all they do for the magazine.

This would have been such a cool class project
A former student sent me this post about the winners of the Anna’s Archive ISBN visualization bounty, a challenge to visualize "which books exist in the world, how many have we archived already, and which books should we focus on next?" Just go experience the winners—it’s truly incredible stuff

We got some incredible submissions to the $10,000 ISBN visualization bounty.

Excellent observation of CDU politics in @zeit.de

“The secret basic law of CDU politics: the reasonableness of political ideas and concepts is not derived from what they contain, but from who represents them. Only when we represent them and by representing them do they become reasonable.“
