"But the referendum had another side — a heavier side. It forced thousands of us to go door to door to ask for a civil right. It placed a massive burden on LGBTQ+ people." Hear, hear!

BBC News shouldn't be airing views of the public referring to 'illegal immigrants'. Doing so is simply stirring up hatred. Immigration is not a crime. Stirring up hatred is.

To date, due largely to a heteronormative curriculum most schools have done a very poor job of including LGBTQ children and their families. This ruling will just exacerbate that situation.

For trans people, our very existence has become an act of radical resistance, but unless you've experienced that yourself, you have no idea how exhausting it is.

Please, check in on your trans pals, stand up for us wherever you can and make noise for us so we're not doing this alone.

I'm saddened to see a manufactured moral panic result in legally sanctioned harm for trans people and all those biological men and women that will be mistaken for the opposite sex and also harmed by bigots and worse.

This statement about the transphobic Supreme Court ruling by the UK's Crab Museum (yes a museum about crabs) is better than 99% of the statements I've seen on the topic

This is totally relevant given the decision of the UK Supreme Court on women as it underscores how anyone appearing female [and LGBTQs in general] can be victimised (and murdered). The Supreme court has created ideal non ideal victims here.

Megathread of pro-trans petitions on Parliament’s petition website. If Labour suddenly gets hit with debates for a bunch of pro-trans petitions, maybe they’ll realise this issue isn’t going away and they’ve fucked up.

I’ll add more as I find them.
