What can I say about myself that hasn't already been said about K. from The Castle? I just want to WORK, hard-ass WORK
Pinned
literally me
I was able to get back to sleep tonight, but going to bed at like 7:30 at night and waking up at like 1:30 in the morning should be ILLEGAL! ILLEGAL!
My sleep's really disturbed today. Don't know why. I only slept like 4 hours last night. I feel fine.

My Relationship with My Family, Part 6: Notes on My Family Social System or Whatever, Relative to a Couple Lessons from the Vaunted 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
I'll probably write another post about my relationship with The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. For those not in the know, it's, like, a self-help book that talks about… well… in the first chapter, the author, Stephen Covey1 talked about how many people would come into his office repeating the complaint that they're very, very busy and may even have the external trappings of material success but that their relationships are suffering, they feel isolated, and they never feel like their time is their own or that they're accomplishing anything that really matters to them--maybe that " find it hard to tell you 'cause find it hard to take, when people run in circles, it's a very, very mad world" as…

My Relationship with My Family, Part 5: My Current Understanding of The Broad Strokes of My Family’s History and Culture
With this post, I'm kind of repeating some of what I said in the preface. I guess if I wanted to be professional about it, I'd write the whole series of posts and edit for clarity, which I may end up doing later anyway. I haven't delved into the genealogy, but, by oral tradition, my family immigrated to, eventually, rural southern Minnesota and northern Iowa in a United States that was then something like a third German-American from Prussia in the 1890s, when 1) the German-American community in general had been particularly interested in maintaining their…

Weirdly, while I've been really bad about going to the gym for like 2 months, my bench isn't much behind where it was, and where it was isn't much behind my PR. 🤔

I'm at like 75% my best deadlift. I'm at like 95% of my record bench press. 🤷‍♂️

The reason I spaced my class discussion post not just this week but last week as well is that I simply don't believe in the concept of grading. 🙂

I was at the gym earlier and someone brought a guide dog in. It shit all over the track, but the thing is, it didn't STOP WALKING to shit all over the track, because it's very "well trained."

Which is like white America in general and this town in particular. We think our shit don't stink if we...

idk I weigh ~100kg of low-quality, gristly meat and I'm kind of rubbery and hard to get a grip on. You might prefer some kind of mechanism or motorized vehicle with an implement of some sort. And/or a Poké Flute.
Working out so I can body slam men out of my way

Might be time to hop back on Khan Academy basic math shit lol

I was just trying to calculate the price per 30 grams of protein of my ground turkey and I thought I was getting close to $4; I had some conversion orders wrong and it's like $2.25.

But I had to THINK ABOUT IT lol

There was a time when I was in probably my 30s that my mom was boiling chopped potatoes1, probably to make a potato salad. As is very like him, my dad took it upon himself to not only look into her pot, but also remove the potatoes and start chopping them smaller because, "They're too big! You're wasting electricity!"

Ah, yes, the enemy is incompetent but dangerous, always on the verge of defeat if we just fight with all our might. Glad to see war has changed in the past 80 years or so.

I drink "socially," meaning I drink beer the entire 3-5 hours I'm hanging out with other adults who drink. I can stop any time I want to--I just don't want to! 🙂
The health questionnaire at work called me a fat drunk 😢

It should have a "Midwest" option!

Not YET, anyway...
If Kamala had been elected Minneapolis would not have been turned into a war zone where people are gunned down in the streets.

I need folks to understand that the constitution has only ever applied to *certain* people under *certain* situations. “But that’s not how it’s supposed to be!” Correct.

Alex Pretti CARRIED his gun, with permit, and was shot by "law-enforcement!"

This is one of those where I like the idea of it more than the reality. Like Taylor Swift or nu Trek.
Live your life in such a way that multiple people message you to let you know the new GoT spinoff has some next level dong hanging happening. Remember the golden rule: if you’ve got boobs boobing boobily you also need to have dongs donging dongily. That’s just ethics of art 101.

Yeah, I dunno. There is the possibility of e.g. nuance and shared blame.

I have an autism diagnosis because 1) I have the right personality for it, and 2) I've always insisted on doing what I thought was right--not what profits me.
Dreher's mind is fascinating(ly cooked).

He starts by kind of asking the right question about whether conservatives would accept the authorities treating pro-life protestors like this.

And from there he progresses to blaming Alex Pretti for having a gun, thereby justifying his death.
