Yep. It’s resolved and I fear, SCOTUS will work to circumvent the Constitution. The “originalists” on the court and this current regime would like to repeal all post-Civil War Amendments without calling a Constitutional Convention. Not sure how democracy stands after that. We may find out I guess.

Let us not forget that this is perhaps the one and only thing this country has actually done for ADOS ever. It’s how we became citizens after centuries of not being seen as human enough for legal protections and self determination.

Of course the EO that racist asshat signed is Constitutionally illegal. However, SCOTUS may now work to overturn parts of the Constitution. I have warned previously how dangerous this is, a slippery slope to denaturalization for many of us.

These high level traffickers have the protection of the uber wealthy social elite classes. Regular traffickers have the protection of families and communities who never believe these people are the monsters they actually are. It’s a kind of monstrous mundanity. It’s all too common.

Until we, as humans, can see all the world’s children as our own, I don’t know how much will change. And it breaks my heart that this shit is far too common, far too regular.

This country (and the world) has a huge problem. Globally, women and children are not viewed as human as men. And as such, are not taken seriously enough to actually protect from this one form of abuse. Instead we are seen as vessels for male entertainment, use, and abuse.

The Tates found protection in the GOP and conservative spheres because that is the entire brand of this group of people. And sex trafficking is so commonplace, so regular, so socially acceptable in this country, so much goes unreported and therefore, unknown.

Same. But I thinking giving up guns is a no go in this country for many reasons, but primarily that this is a tool still used to feed families. But I think an assault weapons ban is doable…in a sane political environment anyways. It shouldn’t even be up for debate imo.

It was a no-win situation. There was nothing else I could do about him and his violent rhetoric, except for try to interrupt when it showed up.
I imagine we’ll see more and more of this nonsense and the students will speak with a manager to try to get their grades overturned.
