While Texas has chosen a cruel, counterproductive approach, including w/ SB4, other states & localities have solutions for reception of newcomers and in creating economic opportunities. A humane, safe, and orderly asylum system is possible. www.rescue.org/press-releas...

New York City, which is legally obligated to provide a bed for every homeless person who asks for one, has quietly stopped offering them to some migrants. Some are spending days looking for shelter or sleeping on the floor in waiting areas.
