So I feel like there's something we need to talk about. When I'm talking politics on here, I'm mostly gonna find myself talking to left-leaning people. People who think Trump is terrible and want him gone. But one blind spot I see a lot is people thinking we're winning. We're not.

“Aiming a gun” intentionally carries lethal intent. There is ZERO lethal intent or capability in that picture.

That's a non-lethal paintball device. The attempt to frame it as a life threatening action is dishonest and will, rightly so, be cause for ridicule.

It is a chemical crowd control device and should be highlighted as such. With the unrestrained use and abuse, which we've seen, being highlighted.

People have, for example, referenced an Onion piece about an abortionplex as real. Granted The Onion is clear satire while Waters seems to generally just seems be a bad attempt at conservative humor, which is already bad enough.

It's the same cycle of bullshit Trump pulled in the first Trump admin with Newsmax/Fox/right wing media but now the whole media is in on it and the GOP is actively boosting it regardless of everything else.

- Media reports "Some stupid shit X may be in the future/possible"
- - Non-shit media reports "Trump lied about some stupid X, here's why it's bullshit"
- GOP "I've seen reports of some stupid X, not everyone agrees but the other way may not be right"
