The outrageous sanctioning of EU lawmakers and citizens in order to pressure democratically-elected European governments to change their laws shows just how intent the US government is on controlling Europeans' lives.

We must go into 2026 with eyes open.
The US can destroy a European's life with the swipe of a pen
This week's US sanctions against European lawmakers and privacy activists is a major escalation. And it shows the dangers of Europe relying on American economic infrastructure.

I wanted to make an enamel pin to honor Nezuko, who tragically passed away a week ago. With costs being over $15,000, sales would help relieve some of the costs.

This enamel pin shows the loyalty of the amazing Akitainu, with the most famous being Hachiko.

Israel crushed Mohammad Bakri for daring to express Palestinian pain as it is.

❝ Bakri was an artist and a freedom fighter, the kind written about in history books and for whom streets are named. There was no place for him in ultranationalist Israel, not even after his death. ❞

Trump’s main weapon is public exhaustion—the “it’s all corrupt anyway” numbness that makes people withdraw & hands the field to organized authoritarians.

Like the 60s, survival now depends on acting together—loudly, persistently, & strategically—until Trump’s project is defeated at ballot box & law

Fumiko Magari's work on this film goes largely underappreciated, with her name not appearing at all on the wikipedia article despite being credited alongside the director in the film itself.

If you've seen a Japanese stop-motion commercial, odds are Fumiko had a hand in it. Or two hands.

I’m curious where this kind of overconfidence comes from.

To me, most likely case is still that Republicans hold the senate, the MAGAfication of the judiciary continues, and threats to the rule of law escalate.

Every day, these families beg and show photos and verifications and they ask nicely, in the face of attempted extermination, and still get labeled as spam or ignored or complained about.

How, pray tell, do people want others to beg for their loved ones to stop dying? For basic humanity?
