I'm thinking about this year's summer road trip. Over the last 9 years I've put in around 25,000 miles. I want to see more of SW Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and more of Northern California and Oregon, as well as Vancouver to Calgary. I need to get back to the Maritime provinces, too.

I was feeling down at home so decided to get out to my usual haunt. It’s fun to watch the Olympics with a crowd.
I’m very entertained that ice dancing came on and suddenly the bar is full of pro commentators who know the intricate details of scoring and technique.

I wanted something a little more challenging for my next drink. The best the bartender and I could arrive at was a Negroni. And I have no complaints!

In true Metra fashion, the train approached the station and then…stopped about a quarter mile out. It sat there for 15 minutes waiting for an outbound train to pass THEN pulled up. Good thing it wasn’t 16°F out.
Anyway, this is what a lake effect snow plume looks like from afar.

I love this special at my local pizza place: their enormous Sicilian Salad (mixed field greens | imported prosciutto | shaved parmesan | pine nuts | sweet mustard basil vinaigrette | cracked pepper) and my favorite pizza (cream | prosciutto | gorgonzola | italian figs | balsamic glaze) for $25.

One of the swag items that @furfest.org's Volunteers Dept had last year was a pin banner. I snagged one and filled it with allll the pins (and buttons) that I've accumulated over the years. MFF, Disney, and a little bit of everything else.
