I think inflation only really works to reduce govt debt in conjunction with some type of FR.

Worth noting: a lot more case studies available circa 1945 to 1976
Although the key thing then was “financial repression”/“historically normal and success debt management policies”. (Delete as preferred).

I knew the surname. Had to google the first name.
It is interesting that in the run up to Iraq 2003, there was all the hoopla around attempts to get Security Council resolutions.
Whereas I don’t think any state would really bother now.
