I aim to get some linen sheets this winter and start softening them up for the southwestern Louisiana summers. And O couldn’t get by without my linens trousers.

I’m trying to revise a poem with workshop notes and suggestions and like where it’s going, but am trying to figure out the lesson the speaker is learning, because I think it’s different from the original lesson.

My poem “Shapeshifters Local” has been published in the Autumn 2025 issue of @kaleidotrope.bsky.social, alongside what looks to be an amazing TOC. Read my poem here: kaleidotrope.net/autumn-2025/...

Bon Ami and a big brush or scrubber on a long handle. And I’ve never found CLR especially helpful for cleaning outside of lime & rust removal. Scrubbing Bubbles spray or Bon Ami powder get me through most bathtub dirt (including the buildup from minor smoke and fire foam damage).

You know you go to an ag school when they just casually spread loads of manure around campus to fertilize.

Here’s your reminder that not all banned books are good or well-written, and that a book doesn’t have to be good or well-written to bring you joy and pleasure, and that nobody should be banning books from libraries or publishing houses.

If you’re looking for an arts organization to support, please consider mine: Contemporary American Theater Festival, the last remaining festival dedicated to the development & full staging of new American plays. www.americantheatre.org/2025/07/29/a...
A New-Play Fest Stands Alone
The Contemporary American Theater Festival is now the only U.S. gathering of its kind that fully stages all its offerings—and that matters more now.

One of my faves! I watched it uncomfortably with my dad when I was 11, learned the c word there (it was the 80s).

a meme that says using let it snow wrapping paper wasn’t perhaps the best idea. we have a rectanguLr box with a white bow and light blue wrapping paper that says “tits”

the drive in my a/c-less car across southern Louisiana and Mississippi was surprisingly pleasant — a big change from my move out there in August, when I was practically passing out from heat.

I arrived back in Alabama last night and will remain until the morning. It’s a bear of a drive but damn do I miss seasons.

Congrats — it’s possibly big feelings all around, but divorce preserves sanity and saves lives.

I lived in Maple Leaf, Seattle, and worked in Snohomish County— enjoyed Snohomish immensely.

I feel like the big takeaway from WAYWARD is that the weaponizing of therapy language is dangerous. Also respect children and their needs and the fact that they won’t always be who you think they should be.

to top it off, the keep-falling-asleep thing started happening again, too! Feels suspiciously like a Monday!

Thank you. It started out really nice and now I’m just…ugh. (did have some Nutter Butters though)

was gonna go see the final dress of THE ODD COUPLE at a local theatre tonight but am exhausted after getting a $244 parking ticket (for misunderstanding my university’s policy on issued parking tags vs state placards) and taking returns to the FedEx store. I think I’ll stay home & enjoy the rain.
