No forward progress on my novel, but today I went back and replaced existing chapter numbers with new chapter titles. It already feels a lot more cohesive and booklike to me.

Roadkill is out in the world. I can't in good conscience recommend it to all readers. A sad and angry book. 90% of the animal characters are dead at the outset & the humans don't fare much better. But if you're in the mood for an unconventional eco-horror experience, links in comments!

Sometimes to an excessive degree. I’ll have to remove most of the shrugs, sighs, and gesticulations to improve the flow of dialogue, leaving just enough to illustrate character and add flavor. #QueerPrompts
