I was teary a lot of Sunday with relief. I had been so worried that we would collectively choose to go the way of America, and I am so glad that we said not on your life so resoundingly. Makes this ex kiwi fall in love and really trust the Australian psyche for the first time in the 36 years...

I don't blame them (foreigners) at all. No way I would go there now. Possibly never again. Pity. It is a beautiful land and all the people I met there were lovely. But it only takes a few to f it up.
