Editor's note: they will do nothing to stop him.
if i were a would-be dictator whose only civilian check on power had been consumed by total-complete partisan loyalty, something i would definitely do is call an unprecedented in-person meeting of the only people who could stop me and then proceed to illustrate why they should stop me

Today I learned two things about the Union Carbide Bhopal accident. We never did figure out how the water got into the chemical storage tank to cause the reaction and mass death. And the public relations lead for the chemical company later was Hillary Clinton's campaign lead. What a weird world.

Lots of folks know about his connection to Bill Gates, Steve Bannon, the Pope, Lawrence Krauss, Noam Chomsky, and Woody Allen. But I want to know more about that photo with Fidel Castro! The Austrian passport! Was this intel op strictly private, just with the Russians, maybe the Saudis? Coincidences

New START, which replaced START I and is the last remaining bilateral treaty putting any legal and verifiable constraints on the US and Russian nuclear arsenals, expires in less than seven months.
OTD 15 years ago, President Barack Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev signed the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in Prague, Czech Republic. New START—which expires on February 5, 2026—limits each country to 1,550 deployed strategic warheads and a combined total of 700 ICBMs, SLBMs, and bombers.

So the Qataris fund Hamas, fund a boatload of anti-semitic propaganda in the west, couldn't find anyone to buy this plane, so bribed Trump with it, and most of a $1B from an unrelated fund to refurbish it for AF1 or Trump's personal use? The corruption seeps into every little corner.
ICYMI: The Air Force’s Sentinel ICBM is so significantly behind schedule and vastly over budget the Department of Defense thought nothing of secretly transferring $934,000,000 out of the program to cover the cost of refurbishing and modifying Trump’s “free” Qatari 747-8 jet into a new Air Force One.
What Will It Cost to Renovate the ‘Free’ Air Force One? Don’t Ask.

The B61-12 is the dial-a-yield, deep penetrating version. Set to the minimum 300 ton yield, this would be the next step up in bombs for something like Fordo. Though obviously moving these around is very different than using one. Am assuming this is a spoken threat to the Iranian nuclear program.
Multiple indicators—including the flight of a specialized C-17A Globemaster III from Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, last Thursday—strongly suggest that US nuclear weapons, specifically the new B61-12 gravity bomb, have been redeployed to RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom for the first time since 2008.

My rule of thumb for Gaza protestors has been whether they were also protesting the Assad regime slaughtering a half million or not. The ongoing genocide of the Druze provides another chance to see if people protesting against Israel are principled or if their only principle is hatred of Jews.
