Appreciate Anne-Sophie Seret’s concluding remarks on this newly released research, that we need to double down on human skills development in the face of the proliferation of AI #fosi2025

Ok, reading this more now, and these are ridiculous things to ask of already busy caregivers. This is an example of what @benpatrickwill.bsky.social has called the "responsibilization of children, teachers and parents for the irresponsibilies of multibillion dollar tech companies." No thank you.

All of this. But also! New folks, I actually think that it's important to take a breath, and think about your own approach to following/engagement. This place isn't exactly the same as twitter - or even Old Twitter of our memories - nor should it be. You're building something new here. We all are.
I’d forgotten about follow farming for the past 18 mos. Please try to be normal, build relationships, tell funny jokes, talk to people like they live next door, say smart things, post pets, block pests/trolls/harassers, but don’t bring the weirdo stuff, we’ve had a mostly nice-ish thing for a while

Still cannot get past seeing the way AI is being marketed/recommended for the classroom as anything other than “empty calories” that will further erode the already-eroding sense of purpose of what we do in our classrooms.

We cannot give that away, right? but it feels like so many are willing to…

It's so easy to get carried away on this app because it's so dope. I did the same on Twitter back in the day and burned out. How are my #edusky #blackedusky #Edumatch folks setting boundaries when it comes to media balance? It's tough when you connect around your passions.
