WOW! The European Parliament just voted to BAN the words 'burger' and 'sausage' when used in sustainable plant-based alternatives. HUGE win for the meat and dairy lobby in the EU, and lots more confusion for consumers if this goes through. Insane!

richmond road is definitely up there as one of the worst places to drive, walk or cycle in dublin, along with the bit of the samuel beckett bridge across from the ferryman – two places that are incredibly frustrating for every single person with the misfortune of being there

i suspect it also probably benefits the government to create a bit of division and resentment between people in the arts and the general population, so the public are in favour of them inevitably axing basic income for the arts some day (but who knows)

The Basic Income for the Arts Scheme is €325 a week, similar to what they gave out during the pandemic. This is how much they've deemed one needs in order to live in Ireland. So why is disability benefit only €244? Why are disabled and sick people expected to live so far below the poverty line?

He's still on the ballot and his transfers still count. This is all very wrong and undemocratic.
The electrol legislation needs to be changed so people who opt out can be removed.
