Not going to share 'grift' but Heather Humphreys has just said that I'm a man and the gender recognition act should be changed. Please do not vote for or give a preference for her. Having someone as president who thinks this way would be absolutely awful for minorities #SpeirGorm

i've never heard someone use the phrase "how the oat milk is made"

i'm sure many of the people campaigning for new words for burger and sausage also claim they can't keep track of the number of genders and pronouns they happen upon in everyday life

twice a year the entire U.S. press becomes a marketing extension of a single billionaire-owned retailer, and nobody in any position of editorial power thinks it's weird or gross

It’s a "crisis" when immigrants "take jobs away", but "innovation" when machines do. Funny.

richmond road is definitely up there as one of the worst places to drive, walk or cycle in dublin, along with the bit of the samuel beckett bridge across from the ferryman – two places that are incredibly frustrating for every single person with the misfortune of being there

when are you starting your campaign for Basic Income for Quiz Winners

people are taking this out of context.. obviously she was referring to the berlin wall when she said border
newschambers.bsky.social
The now deleted video from Heather Humphreys’ team including an image of the Reichstag building in Berlin.

Video focused on how Heather knows the border and the North - and was posted days after she said she doesn’t just go on “day trips”.

i suspect it also probably benefits the government to create a bit of division and resentment between people in the arts and the general population, so the public are in favour of them inevitably axing basic income for the arts some day (but who knows)

The Basic Income for the Arts Scheme is €325 a week, similar to what they gave out during the pandemic. This is how much they've deemed one needs in order to live in Ireland. So why is disability benefit only €244? Why are disabled and sick people expected to live so far below the poverty line?

Got to love Dublin. #Speirgorm
Picture of a large junction box on the street at the top of Kildare Street at Stephen’s Green in Dublin, Ireland. On it is painted a very large, angry-looking seagull in front of two wooden gates. Two tiny people, dwarfed by the seagull, appear to be running from it, one on either side of the lower front of the image. The text over the gates reads St Stephen’s Green. The signature in the lower right of the image says M. Fitz 25.

its kind of giving me spoiled vote vibes in the sense that people are doing it to make a point but then FF/FG ultimately end up with exactly what they wanted all along so they end up being the real winners

it's very odd to give someone the option to sit out all of the debates and all of the uncomfortable conversations that have to happen on a presidential campaign, and then still have the option to win
taryndevere.bsky.social
He's still on the ballot and his transfers still count. This is all very wrong and undemocratic.
The electrol legislation needs to be changed so people who opt out can be removed.

The counting of votes will proceed as normal, the returning officer said, “in line with the rules for the counting of votes as set out in the 1993 Act”.

Anyone surprised that Heather, ten years after Gender Recognition became law during which there have been zero issues bar the loony right causing trouble, trots out the 'biological adult female' line?

Heather - the candidate endorsed by Gript.

Back to the actual and current Presidential candidates -with all the Jim Gavin shenanigans of the last 24 hours it may have not grabbed people’s attention that Heather Humphreys just threw trans people under the bus in response to a Grift dot ie reporters question! So there’s that! #aras25 #speirgorm

if heather pulled out of the presidential election now too what would happen? or is it actually too late for either of them to pull out
