Accidentally or "accidentally"

Admittedly, sentences 1 and 3 are ambiguously in conflict and don't lend themselves to clean resolution. The amorphous difference is, "families should be left together because it's good for everyone, not because the child is private property".

I truly don't think "parental rights" are a thing. There's "parental responsibilities". And there's a wide zone around the parent-child relationship the state has no business in. But if child abuse is happening, the fact that the abuser is a parent doesn't somehow make it OK.

And yes I am a parent.

Jonathan Rinderknecht, a white man, was charged with starting the Palisades Fire. But on X, the company's news summary tab shows a photo of a black man.
Screenshot depicting posts on X, one showing the suspect accused of starting the Palisades Fire, a white man. The X news tab reports on the suspect's arrest, but shows a photo of a black man instead.

Being real, I never really expected to find IJ on the right side of anything, but here they are. Same with FIRE.

It's comforting to see orgs with the courage and seriousness to stand by their principles, even when it means finding themselves part of a new coalition.

This is craven and shameful. For the company that prides itself on subpoena-proof privacy on iMessage. Truly, shame on Apple.

I'm sure Timmy's comforting himself that acquienscence is in the best interest of the shareholder. It will not be.

The government is shut down because Trump and the Republicans are hellbent on taking health care away from you.

And they won’t even come to the table to talk to us about it.

This is not about politics. It's about people.

Let’s break it down:

I once read a chef's comment that "most people don't understand that American cheese is supposed to be a cheese *sauce*, and just happens to be solid at room temperature."

Trump airlines? Shut down.
Trump casinos? Shut down.
Trump steaks? Shut down.
Trump vodka? Shut down.
Trump university? Shut down.

Donald Trump has kept his promise to run our government like he ran his companies: shut down, with unpaid workers & blaming everyone but himself.

This footnote to Illinois and Chicago's lawsuit against Trump is an important reminder:

* There is no Department of War or Secretary of War, which are make-believe names for the actual agencies created by Congress.

There is a problem with people confusing procedural (bipartisanship etc.), policy, and aesthetic moderation. Buttigieg is an aesthetic moderate but a pretty consistent partisan, while someone like Sanders is a policy and aesthetic radical (within US politics) but a procedural moderate
