I played Skyrim for the first time (did a bunch of sidequests, messed with the leveling system, then did the main quest).

It didn't benefit from the fact that my reference points for sprawling storytelling are Hades and Disco Elysium.

Of course, those games sprawl a *lot* less than Skyrim does […]

2. The proposed rule would bar any hospital system that participates in Medicaid from offering gender-affirming care to trans youth, even if that care is paid privately. If enacted, it would represent the most sweeping overreach yet by the administration in its campaign against trans people.

1. The Trump administration last week made headlines with a new rule banning most gender affirming care for trans youth nationwide.

Now, the ACLU is pledging to sue if the rule goes into effect.

Man I remember Malheur so well. Such a clear signal of what was to come. Some of the most privileged & entitled white men in the f'ing world engaging in open lawlessness in the name of their own imagined victimhood ...

... and getting away with it.

That's the true American template.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

The bill is the first to apply to PRIVATE businesses.

It also ONLY applies to transgender women, not trans men.

Time to once again discuss the "rounding up/give $5 at the register or charity."

It isn't a tax writeoff for the company. Period. You aren't giving them money that goes to their tax writeoff. That's not how any of this works.

If they say "we donate 10% of our proceeds to charity!" _that's_ […]

We don’t say “13-year-old man” or “underaged man” because boys are always talked about as boys when they’re young.
But girls are often called “young women” or “underage women,” even when they’re the same age.
That means:
Girls get labelled as adults earlier.
Boys stay labelled as kids longer.
