Meanwhile by far the most newsworthy thing JD Vance did yesterday was post an AI-generated video depicting Trump as a literal king. You can't have a vice president who is a puerile edgelord, you have to treat it as the obscene scandal that it is.
This is quite a hed/subhed.
1) Start with Vance. Use strong action verb. Accept the autocratic premise that the “Marines’ Might” are Vance’s to flex.
2) Mention the protest second and absurdly describe them as in the thousands

While the politico-industrial-complex pundits and advisors froth at the mouth screaming that Dems must throw trans people under the bus and support Israel, Mamdani is out here doing the exact opposite and thriving. It's a refreshing reminder that a bold politics of hope and inclusion is how we win.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
