The thing you don’t realize when you’re an aspiring artist is that you won’t get to define or decide which work is your masterpiece. Your worst might be considered your best.

Bringing it to 🦋 by request:

People hate their own art because it looks like they made it. They think if they get better, it will stop looking like they made it. A better person made it. But there's no level of skill beyond which you stop being you. You hate the most valuable thing about your art.

Posting work your not the most happy about is a struggle, but I’m forcing myself to do it so later I can see the greatness I missed focusing on the weakness.

Whenever a close friend or family has a birthday, I’m always bad at remembering and I feel social media helps you cheat at it, so I like to make they/them a special drawing to let them know I care even if I’m not the best at remembering.

Funny how when drawing you set out for one, maybe two things yet end up with something completely different in the end. Meant to be a sketch, then practice with a maker, until it ended up as a this.

“Those who choose the lesser evil very quickly forget that they choose evil.”

Well-known quote from Hannah Arendt that ought to be even better known.

Being stuck in the enjoying your art as you draw it but then completely lose intent after being done or near complete makes it difficult to post said art

Feels so weird to lose my loyal, relentless, dedicated following of bots and likes on any post without any prior.. the lack of garbage everywhere I look is nice though.
