I also didn’t hear outrage when Mike Johnson decided to clock out early, saying Congress wasn’t in session because he didn’t want to vote on releasing the Epstein files.

If you’re going to blast people for bailing on their jobs, at least be equal opportunity about it.

Some people haven’t figured this out yet: 1. Every riding in Canada is a separate election 2. Vote splitting is real and riding-dependent 3. The LPC, NDP, GPC or Bloc could be the strategic vote to keep out the CPC in your riding. 4. Be strategic, not partisan, or Poilievre will win

The solution to most of the problems in the USA would be solved by taxing the rich & limiting money in politics. Average Americans just want to get along & live comfortably. There is no good reason this has not been achieved. Greed & bigotry are not policies. They are moral failures.

This kind of sums up America. It's the awful people who get ahead. Being a good person. Wanting to contribute to your community. None of that matters in American society. Or to the majority of Americans really.
More from State:

“I moved to DC, I went through background checks and jumped through all the hoops because I believed in America, in the ideal of public service, helping others. Now I feel like a sucker, like I would be in a better place if I was a worse person.”

There’s no such thing as working productively with MAGA nihilists like Elon, Vivek and RFK, Jr. They want to bring down our Republic. Don’t normalize them by pointing out a few of their good ideas.

If you've noticed a sharp rise in commercials promoting the Ontario government's success, the Auditor General has taken note as well.

The Ford gov't has spent $103M on the ads, higher than any other gov't.

0.5-0.8%. When you take a step back it’s striking how much of the discussion about the carbon tax in Canada - the easiest and least intrusive environmental policy intervention available, more or less, which conservatives say drives up food prices - is predicated on a total lie.
How do carbon taxes affect food prices? In our latest paper, @dr_jen_winter and I analyze both direct and indirect impacts across the entire food supply chain: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5024885
