Early-retirement couch potato in his mid-50s. I've seen the future. I can't afford it.

Please do not follow me if your entire persona on here is "I post and repost mostly political stuff," or because you saw that I liked a political comment somewhere, with the hope that I will follow you back. I will not.

I prefer to use this space to escape politics, for the most part.

Bob Ross art from his 1983-94 TV show will be auctioned to support PBS.

30 paintings will be sold. Two were auctioned for a combined $210K earlier this year.

"I can’t think of a more meaningful way to share his works of art than by supporting public television"

"It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference."

Freida Parton updates us about Dolly: "I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer."

With the way that most things have become exponentially crappier over the last decade, I am in no way prepared to live in a world without Dolly Parton. Please feel better, Dolly.

Ha! I know. I'm looking on the site to see if there are other actors in the show, or if it's one of John's shows where he plays all of the roles. Jeff gets noticed and brought in for interactions a lot. Jeff Ross roasted him at his Broadway show a few weeks back.

(There are 10 people in this cast.)

I kind of think he is! I'm waiting for the full report when he gets home.

Jeff is seeing THE OTHER AMERICANS, starring John Leguizamo, at The Public Theater in Manhattan tonight. He bought the ticket a while ago, and got it for $95 as a supporter of The Public. He knew that it was front row, but I don't know if he knew it would be THAT close to the stage.

I love them both but Travis and Patrick look like they’re running a traveling medicine show in the Great Depression
Travis Kelce, wearing a newsies hat and a shirt that seems to be pattered on a motels wallpaper, and Patrick Mahomes, wearing a red checkered vest made out of an Italian restaurants tablecloth

If your local PBS station airs Dr. Scott Tinker's 'Energy Switch', I highly recommend watching it. The first episode of Season 7 began airing this past week, and it's at times sobering, depressing, yet still offers glimmers of hope for the future.

And Jeeves is adamant that he was hired *only* to make coffee. He gets upset when I ask him to dice up an onion every now and then.

Wow! Even putting aside how jealous I am of you, your family, and co-workers who are going to enjoy them, I am also jealous that you have enough counter space to let all of them cool. I would have to move the air fryer, knife block, toaster oven, Jeff's coffee maker...

If you want a good, old-fashioned superhero comic book, look no further than The Dusk #1 from AMP Comics.

Jaime is the heir to his previously-unknown “kajillionaire” bio dad, and he uses his newfound wealth to become The Dusk and fight the rising crime in Blackstone.

He appears to be a single…
Cover to The Dusk #1 shows Jaime in costume with the nighttime city underneath his cape. Art by David Hahn.

Me, too, but once I did figure it out, it's all I can see, like the arrow in the FedEx logo.
